Fertility Acupuncture

Restore, Reset and Reboot

Fertility journeys are rarely just physical. They can bring uncertainty, emotional exhaustion, overthinking, pressure, and the feeling that your body is no longer working with you, but against you. Whether you are trying to conceive naturally, preparing for IVF, recovering after loss, or wanting to better support your reproductive health, acupuncture offers a calm and restorative space to support both body and mind through the process.

A Gentle, Whole Body Approach

At Heal by Acupuncture, fertility care is approached gently, thoughtfully, and as a whole-body process. The aim is not simply to focus on symptoms or hormone levels alone, but to support the body in functioning more harmoniously overall physically, emotionally, and hormonally. Every treatment is tailored individually, because no two fertility journeys are ever the same.

How Acupuncture May Support Fertility

Acupuncture works by stimulating specific points on the body that communicate with the nervous system, circulation, and hormonal pathways.

In fertility care, treatment may help support:

  • Menstrual cycle regulation
  • Ovulation and hormonal balance
  • Blood flow to the uterus and ovaries
  • Endometrial lining support
  • Sleep, energy, and digestion
  • Stress and nervous system regulation
  • Emotional wellbeing throughout conception or IVF treatment

From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, fertility is never viewed in isolation. We look at the wider picture — how stress may be affecting the body, how well energy and blood are circulating, how sleep and digestion are functioning, and whether the body feels supported enough to move out of a constant state of pressure or depletion. Sometimes the smallest shifts in regulation, rest, and balance can create important changes over time.

Your Fertility Acupuncture Appointment

Your initial consultation lasts approximately 90 minutes and allows time to understand your health more fully.

We may discuss:

  • Your menstrual cycle and hormonal health
  • Fertility history and current concerns
  • IVF or assisted conception plans
  • Sleep, digestion, stress, and energy
  • Previous pregnancies or miscarriage
  • Lifestyle and emotional wellbeing
  • Conditions such as PCOS, endometriosis, low AMH, or irregular cycles

As part of Traditional Chinese Medicine assessment, I will also look at your tongue and take your pulse before treatment.
The acupuncture treatment itself is usually deeply relaxing. Many patients fall asleep during the session or leave feeling calmer, lighter, and more settled afterwards. Follow-up appointments are approximately 60 minutes and are adapted according to your cycle, symptoms, and treatment stage.

When Should You Begin Treatment?

Ideally, acupuncture is started around three months before trying to conceive or before beginning IVF treatment. This allows time to support the development of both egg and sperm quality, while also helping the body regulate more consistently before conception.
That said, many patients begin acupuncture at different stages of their fertility journey and still find treatment incredibly supportive — both physically and emotionally.

Acupuncture & IVF Support

Acupuncture is commonly used alongside IVF and assisted fertility treatment. Many patients choose to integrate acupuncture into their IVF process to help support:

  • Nervous system regulation
  • Stress and anxiety management
  • Circulation to the reproductive organs
  • Sleep and recovery
  • Emotional wellbeing throughout treatment

For many people, acupuncture also becomes the one moment in the week where they are finally able to properly switch off, breathe, and allow the body to rest.

Male Fertility Support

Fertility is a shared journey, and male reproductive health plays an equally important role in conception.
Acupuncture may help support overall wellbeing, stress management, sleep, circulation, and factors linked to sperm health, including motility and morphology.
Where appropriate, treatment can support both partners together throughout the process.

Fertility Concerns Commonly Supported with Acupuncture

Acupuncture may support patients experiencing:

  • Irregular or absent cycles
  • PCOS
  • Endometriosis
  • Unexplained infertility
  • Secondary fertility challenges
  • Stress-related cycle disruption
  • IVF preparation and recovery
  • Hormonal imbalance
  • Fatigue and burnout associated with fertility struggles

A Calm, Supportive Space

Fertility treatment can quickly become emotionally consuming. My clinic is designed to offer a calm, grounded environment where you feel listened to, supported, and cared for as a whole person — not simply treated as a diagnosis.
